The Valley of Death

So here's another mediocre composition written at 4 in the morning, in the grip of a sleepy-cum-disoriented haze after muddled sleep patterns for a week. Man!

In the midst of the mountains,
Far to the North of here,
You'll find a valley in shadow
Its the valley of fear.

The damned live there,
Looking for souls to feed on,
I'd stay away if I were you,
But I know you'll keep on,

Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of Death.
Riding to the Valley of DEATH.

There are no trees in that place,
No living things there abide,
There's just death in the mountain,
And death on the outside.

You can go on foot, or ride,
Go at midninght or early morn,
It will pull you like a lodestone,
And I know you will go on

Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.

Only one has ever returned,
Only one with a tale to tell,
It was like being buried alive,
He said he'd rather go to HELL.

Only one soul they let go,
For they know what makes a man,
Where one has made it out,
Many will think they can.

Go on...

Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.

They have fed on us for so long,
They will go on this way,
They will lure and trap and deceive,
And you wil fall under their sway.

So go on...

Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
Riding to the valley of death.
